　　青少年成长片每年都有几部，这部的不同点大概就是城市比较小Sacramento，高中很传统是天主教女校，而且主角也不是纯真而善良有点小挑战这种，而是小势利眼、与母亲经常争吵，随便交男友，一个是同一个是渣。。女朋友这方面也比较特别点，看似放荡的校花女生其实并不是坏人，最初的朋友当然还是最好的朋友。所以构成了一种千禧年世纪初小城镇高中生向望大都市，其实热爱着家乡和互相伤害的人们的生活的故事吧。之所以能得奖，大概是同类型里比较突出的一部，故事发展也很顺，没有牵强，节奏都在。Saoirse Ronan之前演来纽约的打工妹，这次演高中生，完全无违和呢，只不过她都演渣渣的……上次是假装白莲花了，这次比较真实了。甜茶演秒X渣男友，好适合啊，装B装深沉，其实对女友漠不关心，很有欧洲渣男气质了。

　　Christine McPherson自称Lady Bird，在小城Sacramento的天主教中学读高三，马上要申请大学了，一心向往去东海岸学艺术，见大世面，而母亲一直告诉他家里负担不起，父亲之后也失业了，在加州随便读个近的大学就行了。养兄在伯克利毕业之后，也跟女友仅仅在超市工作，没啥前途的样子。在修女的提示下，Lady Bird和好友Julie一起报名了与隔壁男校一起排的音乐剧。其实所有人都进了，给大家一个机会玩啊，另外，每一部成长片里必须让主角演一部戏，这次是音乐剧呢……

　　Lady Bird与演男主的Danny渐渐走进，开始恋爱了，还是很纯情那种，只kiss过，互相介绍了家人，很正式啊。同时，她也悄悄让爸爸给自己申请奖学金，努力申请不同的大学，不想就近去戴维斯。然而在音乐剧成功公演之后，不小心在厕所撞破了Danny和另一个男生拥吻，Lady Bird愤而分手了，远离了一切与Danny接触的机会。在打工时认识了乐队的贝斯手Kyle，就成了他的女友，发现校花Jenna也跟乐队的成员之一在约会，就开始接近她了，并成了朋友。而Julie因为喜欢的数学老师有怀孕的妻子了，很伤心，Lady Bird没去排练新的音乐剧，两人也吵架了。

　　Lady Bird与Kyle有了经验，不仅对方射了，自己也没有实质性的快感，很失望。而在一次演讲会出言不逊被停学后，Jenna去看望Lady Bird，结果发现她说的家庭地址是假的，是Danny的祖母家，当初去过一次，是她向往的房子，所以两人的友谊也掰了。这时候只有妈妈能安慰Lady Bird了，两人的娱乐项目是去看房子……但突然本来是候补的Lady Bird被东海岸的学校录取了，妈妈一气之下不跟她讲话了。不过少女也长大啦，学开车，过了18岁生日去买烟买成人杂志，在舞会前拒绝了Kyle，去找了Julie来一起跳舞。最后送女儿去机场，妈妈还是忍不住绕个圈回来……在纽约的Lady Bird用回了本名，在醉酒之后来到教堂，开始给妈妈打电话……

Set in Sacramento, California, it is a coming-of-age story of a high-school senior (Ronan) and her turbulent relationship with her mother (Metcalf).

Lady Bird premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on September 1, 2017, was theatrically released in the United States on November 3, 2017 by A24, and has grossed $44 million against its $10 million budget. It was chosen by the National Board of Review, the American Film Institute, and Time as one of the top 10 films of the year.

Lady Bird was praised for Ronan and Metcalf's performances, as well as Gerwig's screenplay and direction. At the 90th Academy Awards, the film earned five nominations: Best Picture, Best Actress for Ronan, Best Supporting Actress for Metcalf, Best Original Screenplay and Best Director; Gerwig became the fifth woman to earn a Best Director nomination. At the 75th Golden Globe Awards, Lady Bird won for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy (Ronan), and also received nominations for Best Supporting Actress (Metcalf) and Best Screenplay. At the 71st British Academy Film Awards, the film earned three nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Ronan, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Metcalf and Best Original Screenplay.

Storyline

Christine "Lady Bird" MacPherson is a high school senior from the "wrong side of the tracks." She longs for adventure, sophistication, and opportunity, but finds none of that in her Sacramento Catholic high school. LADY BIRD follows the title character's senior year in high school, including her first romance, her participation in the school play, and most importantly, her applying for college.
