赛车电影还是Rush好，人够帅酷，故事本身有冲突有意思有传奇，双男主的个性对比也有看头。这部是美国对抗意大利，还是公路赛，双男主是同一阵线的，对手刻画明显就会不足，也有没F1那种季赛缠斗了。不过意外的是，居然喷了车厂的官僚主义，蛮神奇的，官僚主义无所不在。

Carroll Shelby本来是赛车手，因为心脏病，只得退役，开了自己的汽车行。Ken Miles参加过二战，开了汽车行，但是入不敷出，脾气又坏，业余参加一下比赛，儿子Peter特别崇拜他，妻子有点不满于危险的赛车。

1963年，福特公司已经是全球第一大汽车生产商了，但是想收购Ferrari却被Enzo Ferrari耍了，在营销副总裁Lee提议下，Henry Ford II决定自组车阵参加意大利人垄断的勒芒24小时公路赛。唯一在1959年赢过勒芒的Carroll Shelby成了车队的最佳人选，他挑的驾驶员就是Ken Miles。

但Miles脾气不好，一开始就得罪了高层Leo Beebe，就算他跟Shelby一起改造准备了GT40，最终1964年的勒芒还是让Phil Hill和Bruce McLaren去参加了。不出所料，都失败了。Shelby和Miles继续改造GT40，装入了可怕的7000转的发动机，在测试时，Miles差点死在烧起来的车里。1966年，Beebe成了福特车队的主管，他不想让Miles参赛，但Shelby替他担保了，以Daytona赛冠军为条件，赢了就同意Miles参加勒芒赛。Beebe还搞了另一支车队参加Daytona的比赛，当然还是Miles更强更不要命，一举达到了7000转，赢了比赛。

1966年，Miles终于上了勒芒的赛场，对抗一直以来的冠军，Ferrari的Lorenzo Bandini。一上场车门就有点问题关不了，最后是进了站用锤子锤进去的……不过接下来就是Miles发力了，刷新了单圈记录，一步步追上Bandini。不过他的刹车系统也报废得快，Ford车队的对策是直接换了整个刹车系统，Ferrari发现之后，向裁判告状了，Shelby据理力争，总算最后裁判通过了。Miles再度在直线跑道挑战Bandini，成功逼得对方操作失误，退出了比赛。这下Ford车队三辆车领先了，居然所有的Ferrari都退出了。Beebe就提出了完全不美国、非常官僚主义的提议：让Miles放缓速度，等等同车队，然后三辆车一起过终点线……真的有一种那啥既视感。

Shelby将Beebe赶走，但在Miles面前提了一下。Miles在创造了新的单圈纪录之后，挣扎了下，放缓了速度等友车……但是在过终点线后，因为McLaren的出发位置较后，他获得了冠军。Miles和Shelby对Ford失望了，不过还在商量着做出更好更快的赛车的方案……这是专业的人跟官僚的对比了。

两个月后，Miles在测试新车时，又刹车失效，在事故中去世了……可怕……Shelby后来去看望了Miles的妻子和儿子，不过没进去他家，送了扳手给Peter就离开了……Miles继续他的事业，Ford只赢了四年，就没再赢了，Ferrari真的是车王……

Ford v Ferrari (titled Le Mans '66 in some European territories) is a 2019 American sports drama film directed by James Mangold and written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and Jason Keller. It stars Matt Damon and Christian Bale, with Jon Bernthal, Caitriona Balfe, Tracy Letts, Josh Lucas, Noah Jupe, Remo Girone, and Ray McKinnon in supporting roles.

The plot follows a determined team of American engineers and designers, led by automotive visionary Carroll Shelby and his British driver, Ken Miles, who are dispatched by Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca with the mission of building the Ford GT40, a new racing car with the potential to finally defeat the perennially dominant Ferrari racing team at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. In early stages of the film's production, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were cast in the starring roles, but those plans fell through. Mangold was then hired in February 2018, and Damon, Bale, and the rest of the cast joined that summer. Filming began in July 2018 in California and lasted a little over two months.

Ford v Ferrari had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on August 30, 2019, and was theatrically released in the United States on November 15 by 20th Century Fox. The film has grossed $225 million worldwide and received acclaim from critics, who lauded the performances (particularly Damon's and Bale's), Mangold's direction and the racing sequences. It was chosen by the National Board of Review as one of the ten best films of the year, and at the 92nd Academy Awards received four nominations, including Best Picture, and won Best Film Editing and Best Sound Editing. For his performance, Bale was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Drama and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.
