又一部Stephen King，结构很简单，一对兄妹，妹妹的前男友和一家三口，迷失在一片高草地中，神秘力量要杀死他们，最后只有孩子逃了出来，但是阻止了可怕的时间循环。其实血腥场面不多，就是一直迷宫营造可怕的感觉，还有点小创意的。Patrick Wilson真适合恐怖片，这次还是演坏人……

Becky有6个月身孕了，但是孩子的父亲并没打算要，所以她哥哥Cal联系了一家在圣迭哥的人家收养这个孩子，两人开车走在去圣迭哥的路上。Becky在一处小教堂附近的高草地中听到有小男孩的呼救声，Cal停好车，也跟着她走入了草地。本来以为马上可以找到孩子，但是两人渐渐觉得事情不对劲了，这是一个高草迷宫，还一直在移动。Becky遇上了小男孩的父亲Ross，Cal遇上了小男孩Tobin，这个父亲满口推销员的谎言，Tobin要Cal摸那块草地中的石头。最后两人都没走出去……

两个月后，Becky的前男友Travis担心失踪的兄妹俩，一路追踪，来到了小教堂附近，看到了已经很陈旧的Cal的车，他也走入了高草地中。倒是很顺利找到了Tobin、Becky和Cal，那是因为Tobin的狗已经死了，高草不会移动死去的东西，所以只要在狗身边等着，大家就聚过来了。Travis其实后悔了分手，Becky也开始觉得送走孩子不好，就Cal坚持要送走孩子。Travis背起了Tobin，让他指去往教堂的方向，然后四人开始走，Becky不堪高温晕倒了一次，似乎草地想要她的孩子。而已经摸过石头的Ross也在接近四人，并且疯狂推销他们也去摸石头，唯一的出路就是石头，但大家都害怕了，一路逃……躲在一个废弃的保龄球馆时，Cal故意放手害Travis掉了下去受重伤，而Ross杀了自己的妻子，Cal也被Ross杀了。Becky被草人们【。一路送到了石头边，生下了孩子……Travis赶到石头边，一番努力加上Becky的小剪刀，杀了Ross。Travis最后明白了一切，自愿摸了石头，找到了出路，把Tobin送去了出口：小教堂的秘室。得到自由的Tobin阻止了Becky和Cal去草地中找自己，也阻止了两个月后Travis的到来……草丛中的Travis看到之后，欣慰了。。

In the Tall Grass is a 2019 Canadian supernatural horror drama film written and directed by Vincenzo Natali. It is based on Stephen King and Joe Hill's 2012 novella of the same name. It stars Harrison Gilbertson, Laysla De Oliveira, Avery Whitted, Will Buie Jr., Patrick Wilson, and Rachel Wilson.

The project was in initial development in early 2015, but failed to start. Then, in May 2018, the video streaming site Netflix announced that it has purchased the film rights with Natali as director, who also wrote the adapted screenplay. Principal photography was expected to begin on July 30, 2018 and last until September 14, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario.

The film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 20, 2019 and was later released on October 4, 2019, by Netflix. It received mixed reviews from critics, with many praising the performances, atmosphere and faithfulness to the novel, but criticized its inconsistent tone and dialogue.

STORY

When siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field's tightening grip, they soon discover that the only thing worse than getting lost is being found.
