连续两年主演的片都得到Oscar最佳男演员提名，还是两种完全不同的人物，虽然不喜欢Jack Nicholson，但还是得佩服的。最后得奖也说了，要得奖，得演疯子……所以后来在反派道路上越走越顺了？飞越疯人院确实是非常好的剧本，故事有条理，但夹杂着一丝不安，然后放大这不安，直到不可收拾，回过头去想想，又影射了非常现实的问题：非暴力的平静表象之下，体制就是健全的了？意义非凡的剧本，从疯人院里几个或真或假的疯子的角度，看待正常人的社会，听说小说一面世就引起了反响，改善了精神病人的生活，而且电影也是影史最佳之一，各种意义上都是高峰了吧。
McMurphy为了躲避劳动改造，谎称自己有神经病，被判定为暴力倾向，送入了一家疯人院。这里有各种各样的病人，有些已经卧床不起了，还有些较轻的病人，可以有机会坐车与医护人员一起外出。但总的来说，冷静从容毫不动摇的护士长Ratched控制了一切。每天有固定地座谈会，吃药，放音乐等等。然而McMurphy在这样平静的表象下感觉到了不对，他想要说服聋哑人酋长加入活动，组织病人们赌博，打赌自己可以搬起洗脸池，失败了也是愤怒于我试过了，而你们试都不想试。世界杯开始之后，McMurphy想让护士长播放比赛，这样简单的要求，却需要投票通过，第一次，没几个人举手的。McMurphy的热情影响了大家之后，第二次全体座谈会成员举手了，但还要争取多数，McMurphy拼命说服酋长，总算成功了，但护士长早宣布会议结束了。感受到不公的McMurphy坐在关闭的电视机前，假装能看到节目，讲解、欢呼、吸引了其他病人加入，护士长也阻止不了他们假装看电视。
屡次违反规定，McMurphy才发现自己不再是住几十天就能出院了，医生和护士们会评价是否病人已经能出院，他要无期限住下去了。McMurphy在酋长帮助下，偷了医院的巴士，带着病人们玩了一整天，还找女人了。不过病人们也受他影响，开始有了自主意识：会哭喊让护士长还香烟，会表示他不想谈为什么还要他讲自己的经历，会反抗了。最终，他和另一名病人以及酋长被实施了电击治疗，痛不欲生之后，发现酋长其实都是装的，两人就决定逃跑。在逃跑前夜，McMurphy叫来了女人们，买通了值班的，骗过总管，与病人们尽情狂欢，还让Billy和Candy睡了。
第二天一早，护士长来到，发现病人们大多喝醉，病房里我乱七八糟的。而Billy明显正常了，但被护士一威胁要告诉他妈妈就又崩溃了，可怜的孩子……McMurphy受不了了，掐着护士长不放，差点弄死了她，直到护工打晕了他。大家一直没再见到McMurphy，以为他逃跑了，但酋长发现回到床上的McMurphy被动了手术，切除了额叶之后已经不是那个自由的灵魂了，就替他完成了最后的逃跑挣扎：用枕头闷死了他，而自己用水槽砸坏了窗子，逃走了……

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a 1975 American comedy-drama film directed by Miloš Forman, based on the 1962 novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey. The film stars Jack Nicholson, and features a supporting cast of Louise Fletcher, William Redfield, Will Sampson, and Brad Dourif. The film also featured Christopher Lloyd in his film debut.
Considered to be one of the greatest films ever made, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is No. 33 on the American Film Institute's 100 Years... 100 Movies list. The film was the second to win all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture, Actor in Lead Role, Actress in Lead Role, Director and Screenplay) following It Happened One Night in 1934, an accomplishment not repeated until 1991 with The Silence of the Lambs. It also won numerous Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards.
In 1993, the film was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress, and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
Storyline
McMurphy has a criminal past and has once again gotten himself into trouble and is sentenced by the court. To escape labor duties in prison, McMurphy pleads insanity and is sent to a ward for the mentally unstable. Once here, McMurphy both endures and stands witness to the abuse and degradation of the oppressive Nurse Ratched, who gains superiority and power through the flaws of the other inmates.
